Southwire's Romex brand SIMpull NM-B (nonmetallic-sheathed) cables are designed for general wiring in homes, stores, and shops. These cables are suitable for both exposed and concealed work in normally dry locations, with a temperature rating not exceeding 90°C (with ampacity limited to that for 60°C conductors), as specified in the 2011 National Electrical Code.

Southwire offers two products in this series: the 28827421 25' 14/2 with ground Romex brand SIMpull residential indoor electrical wire type NM-B in White, and the 28828221 25' 12/2 with ground Romex brand SIMpull residential indoor electrical wire type NM-B in Yellow.

The NM-B cable is primarily used in residential wiring as branch circuits for outlets, switches, and other loads. It can be run in the air voids of masonry block or tile walls, as long as these walls are not in wet or damp locations. The voltage rating for both NM-B cables is 600 volts.
